Overview
The guide covers the following configuration modes:
- Individual Mode: Tailored for headsets assigned to specific users, enabling access to extended Meta User Interface options and additional apps. This mode supports personalized experiences and accommodates advanced use cases.
- Shared Mode: Ideal for environments where headsets are used by multiple users, such as training rooms or collaborative spaces. Shared Mode ensures secure session management with automatic logouts after predefined periods of inactivity or device restarts.
- Shared Mode with Passcode: Passcode is a setting for Shared mode allowing users to retain session progress and avoid getting logged out frequently while maintaining security with passcode protection.

Recommended Configuration for Shared Mode
Give your device preset a name and a description and set the time zone for the headset.
Enabling casting is recommended for demonstrations using Mixed Reality and for easier troubleshooting.
Assign all apps that the devices should have access to:
Add networks, certificates, and enable passcode.
Set OS updates to Postponed to avoid issues due to new Meta updates.
All steps here are optional. Set Session intro to your preference, add you company logo, set an admin passcode to prevent users from changing the Wi-Fi or Boundary in case the headset is in a fixed place
Recommended Configuration for Individual Mode
Give your device preset a name and a description and set the time zone for the headset.
Set permissions to allow casting. Optionally allow people to use AI, add their personal Meta accounts or additional social features.
Assign realworld one apps as required and set up restrictions to Meta Horizon Store apps if necessary:
Add networks and certificates.
Set OS updates to Postponed to avoid issues due to new Meta updates.
