Onsite Deployment
For organizations using XR on-site, we recommend setting up dedicated XR training areas to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all users. Proper preparation and infrastructure are key to successful day-to-day operations.
Â
Key Setup Recommendations
Network Configuration & Coverage
Double-check that your network meets all connectivity requirements and provides strong, stable Wi-Fi coverage in each training room by starting a XR experience through realworld one. The realworld one app and the experience should not display any error messages. Refer to the Network Configuration Guide for details.
Â
Charging Infrastructure
Equip your rooms with reliable charging options, such as Meta Quest charging stations or other compatible charging docks, to keep headsets ready for use at all times.
Meta Quest charging stations are equipped with rechargeable batteries for the controllers. When placed correctly in the station, the controllers will recharge automatically.
If you are not using Meta Quest charging stations, ensure the following:
- Keep spare batteries readily available.
- Instruct users on how to replace the batteries safely and correctly to avoid disruptions during use
Â
Easy Sign-In Process
If users cannot use their mobile phone or company notebooks for signing in, we recommend exploring the option to set up a dedicated sign-in tablet (e.g., in kiosk mode). This table requires a special setup from your IT team to enable SSO sign-ins.
Â
Casting Options
Setup Android tablets in Kiosk mode or with a quicklink to http://oculus.com/casting/<your-company-tag> for casting from the XR headsets.
You can modify your casting link here.
Â
Shared Device Configuration
Configure devices for shared use by following our Meta Horizon Managed Services Configuration Guide.
Â
Device Hygiene & Usage Best Practices
Promote safe and sustainable use:
- Clean devices after each session (ensure cleaning materials are available and restocked regularly)
- Ensure users sign out after use
- Place headsets back on the charging station or connect them to the charging cable
Â
Space Requirements & Safety
Allocate at least 2×2 meters of open space per headset. For improved safety and orientation:
- Mark the space on the floor
- Pre-configure guardian boundaries where possible
→ See Physical VR Room Setup RecommendationsÂ
- Pre-configure guardian boundaries where possible
Â
Quick Start Guides
Consider placing printed and laminated quick start guides in the room to help users operate the devices independently and safely. You can use Meta Quest All-in-One (AIO) MDM - Quick Start Guide as reference.
Â
Remote Deployment
Option 1: Permanent Allocation (Employee Keeps the Device)
Each employee receives their own XR headset to keep. This enables users to access XR experiences anytime— including during training sessions, meetings, or even in their free time—which encourages familiarity with the technology and supports continuous engagement.
To ensure a smooth setup, headsets should either be enrolled beforehand or remotely with the employee. Once the device is fully configured, employees can follow this guide to get started: Meta Quest AIO MDM Quick Start Guide.
Â
Option 2: Temporary Allocation (Hardware Provisioning Service)
XR headsets can be provided on a temporary basis through realworld one’s hardware provisioning service. Devices are shipped directly to employees for the required period and returned afterward. realworld one manages the entire process—including configuration, shipping, and returns—so that devices arrive preconfigured and ready to use, reducing setup time and internal support needs.
For more information about realworld one’s hardware services, please contact your realworld one representative or email support@realworld-one.com.
Â
With everything in place, you're now fully equipped to launch and scale your XR solution with confidence.
